News 04/11/2003 : Griffin Restaurant Group Expands Don Carlos Restaurant Chain. Griffin Restaurant Group's J.T. Maloney has been selected to exclusively represent Don Carlos Restaurante Mexicano in their search for new locations. Don Carlos has been serving Authentic Mexican Cuisine in the Detroit area since 1984. Four times in the 1990's a Don Carlos restaurant was chosen as one of the top 50 Hispanic restaurants in the U.S.A. by Hispanic Magazine. Don carlos currently has 4 locations in the SE Michigan area and is looking to spread their award winning cuisine and service throughout the state of Michigan.
